You are welcome here.

Grow in God's Word, together.

Theological Education by Extension brings Bible study to where you live. You study at your own pace during the week, then meet with a small group from your congregation to talk, pray and learn from one another.

  • Study at your own paceA course book you work through at home, a little each day.
  • Meet close to homeGroups gather at times and places that suit their members.
  • Grow with othersDiscussion, prayer and encouragement every time you meet.

Dear friend in Christ,

Many of us carry a quiet wish to know the Bible better, to understand what we believe and why, and to serve God with more confidence. Life is full, though, and a seminary is far from most of our homes. TEE exists for exactly that reason.

Here you learn at your own kitchen table, in your own time, and then sit with brothers and sisters from your own congregation who are learning the same things. We read together, we ask honest questions, we pray for one another, and slowly we grow.

Nobody walks this road alone. Your group leader and your fellow learners will walk it with you.

How it works

Your journey through a course

Every TEE course follows the same rhythm, from the day you enrol to the day you move on to the next book.

  1. Enrol

Speak to the TEE coordinator through the parish office. You receive a student number and a PIN for the portal.

  2. Receive your course book

Each course has its own book of short lessons with questions to answer as you read.

  3. Study at home

Work through the lessons during the week, with your Bible open beside you.

  4. Meet your group

Bring your answers and questions. Discuss, pray and learn from one another.

  5. Put it into practice

Complete the practical task, in your home, congregation or community.

  6. Sit the test and move on

Your marks are recorded and appear in the student portal, ready for the next course.

“They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” ACTS 2:42

Study groups

Find a group near you

Groups meet across the congregations of Juja Parish. Each one is small enough that everyone is known by name.

Meeting days and places are arranged with each group's members. Contact the TEE coordinator through the parish office and you will be placed in a group that suits your congregation and your week.

Questions

Things people often ask

Do I need any previous Bible training?

No. Courses start with the foundations, and your group is there to help whenever something is unclear.

I work long or irregular hours. Can I still take part?

Yes. You study at home whenever you can, and groups choose meeting times that suit their members.

What happens if I miss a group meeting?

Let your group leader know. You can catch up on the lessons at home and rejoin the discussion at the next meeting.

How are my marks recorded?

Each course has a test, a practical task and group participation. Your coordinator records the marks, and you can see them at any time in the student portal.

How do you keep my details private?

PCEA Juja Parish TEE keeps your name, phone number, congregation, programme, group and marks. We use them only to organise study groups, record your progress and contact you about TEE. Your group leader and the TEE coordinator can see your details. Other students see only group names and each group leader's name and phone number. Your sign-in PIN is stored in a form nobody can read, not even the coordinator. We do not sell your details or share them outside the parish's TEE work. You can ask the TEE coordinator at any time to show you, correct or delete your details. This follows Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019.

How do I get my student number and PIN?

You receive both when you enrol. Your group leader sends your PIN on WhatsApp. If you forget it, ask them to send you a new one.

There is a seat for you.
